The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new ~Socrates

Interested in Volunteering?
Do you like being outside and around animals? Do you not mind getting a little dirty or the unique smells that come with being around farm animals? Would you like to volunteer with an organization that values kindness, acceptance, respect, and teamwork? Then volunteering with us is for you!

Because we are a small sanctuary, we have found that there is only enough work for two volunteers each day. On the Volunteer Sign-Up form below, each date will show if there is space available. Volunteers under the age of 12 will need to be accompanied by an adult.

When can we volunteer?
Volunteer hours are every Saturday and Sunday from 10am - 12pm. Make sure to sign up before you arrive or we won't be expecting you!

What do volunteers do?
For the first hour, there is a short orientation, then we move goats to their daytime field and groom horses and donkeys. The second hour is spent cleaning manure out of fields and barns, followed by property maintenance such as tree limb trimming, spreading gravel, weeding, cobweb sweeping, etc.

What should volunteers wear?
The animals need care no matter what the temperature, so weather-appropriate clothing is important! Closed-toed shoes that can get dirty are essential. It is also helpful to bring gloves meant for either gardening or work.
